Integrative Counselling

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist working privately with clients (18+) online from my base in Glasgow.

I work with a range of presenting issues including (but not limited to):

Depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, family and childhood dynamics, sexuality, self-esteem, and grief.

If your experiences are not on this list, please do not be discouraged. Feel free to get in touch to discuss to figure out if what you're bringing is something we can work on together.

Coming to counselling can be daunting and it's important to feel like we've found the right fit with each other. Below I detail a little bit about how we'll work together, as well as pricing, session duration, and contact.

What is Integrative therapy?

Integrative counselling draws across several approaches. I work primarily according to Person-Centered and Psychodynamic disciplines, with a strong interest in Jungian depth psychology and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am also qualified in CBT, which I at times weave through client work according to client's preference and presentation. Counselling is confidential meaning that what we discuss stays between us unless I am seriously concerned for the safety of the client or general public.

It's important to me that my counselling is neuro-affirming, anti-racist, and anti-discriminatory 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️.

You are welcome to have a read below to get some more information about the different counselling modalities I use.

Person-centered approach

This approach posits that clients know their own lives and circumstances best. Clients are intuitively following their own path of growth. The therapist supports you to find your own answers to the problems you want to explore.

Psychodynamic principles

Psychodynamic ideas encompass a broadchurch of theories and approaches. If I feel a theory may apply or could be helpful for you to know about, I won't keep the information a secret from you. We might discuss these ideas as and when they are relevant to you.

Internal Family Systems

This approach encourages us to look our parts of self to identify helpful roles for different parts of self. Working with IFS can help us make sense of our own systems and promote self-understanding and harmony.

Pricing:

  • 50 minute online counselling session via Microsoft Teams - £55

  • Block of four sessions - £200 (£5 discount per session block booking price)

All payments must be made via BACS 24 hours before session to confirm slot.

Session duration:

Sessions are often weekly or biweekly when you first begin, however this can be approached flexibly. In our first session we might talk about whether you're looking for shorter or longer term counselling, or if you have a set number of sessions in mind. This can always change with time and is something we'll regularly discuss to make sure it's working for you.
