CONSULTANCY
Systemic change through a trauma-sensitive lens
I offer consultancy to organisations looking for meaningful progress in their anti-racist efforts.

My approach is deeply rooted in critical race theory and somatic understandings of racialisation.

I draw from a multidisciplinary background, including a MA in History from the University of Glasgow. I have varied experience organising, co-ordinating and implementing Anti-Racist projects, including participation work with children & young people.

"Amber was able to offer extremely thoughtful insight, wisdom, and learning around how to progress our anti-discriminatory practice."

- Maggie Farrell, Learning Development Lead at Scottish Throughcare and Aftercare Forum (STAF)
Approach
My approach focuses on power and experiences of power, somatic experiences of identity (such as whiteness or other forms of racialisation), and intersectionality.

My interests cover aspects of ethnography, depth psychology, and history. I focus particularly on four key aspects of racism - avoidance, minimisation, indifference, and racial gaslighting.
